Visits
We have had a most enjoyable series of visits in recent years. We are fortunate to be close to London so are able to take in many of the special exhibitions arranged by the national museums and galleries as well as the special places such as the Royal Academy and the Wallace Collection.

'Off the beaten track' visits have also been arranged with walking tours of London as well as an opportunity to see the Chelsea Physic Garden which has connections with local eighteenth botanist William Curtis. Visits to historic places of particular interest have included Portsmouth, Osborne House and the Cotswolds, as well as galleries in nearby Surrey.
Longer visits to places of interest in the UK have been arranged to Canterbury, Derbyshire, Ironbridge and Lincoln when based in a hotel, we are able to take in a selection of historic houses over a long weekend.
A flavour for overseas trips has become a regular feature of the programme and we have experienced interesting visits to Belgium to take in Bruges and Antwerp; Paris; Prague and the Loire Valley.
